I installed a CSI Sodium battery in my 2014 Toyota Tacoma this winter, and the performance has been a game changer. I live in northern Canada where temperatures hit -40°C/F, I’m used to lead acid batteries struggling, freezing, or even splitting open. While this battery is designed for large commercial vehicles it’s a huge upgrade for pickups too. Regardless of the temperature it fires up the truck full power every time. Its eliminated the need to run battery blankets, batt heaters, or trickle chargers. It runs perfect with the stock charging system and is basically a drop in replacement; you just need to screw in 3/8" brass posts or swap to copper ring terminals using a 3/8" bolt. I’ll never go back to lead acid. Sodium is far more powerful and should last three times longer than lead acid batteries, so it's more cost effective in the long run too.
